We are facing a very worrisome crisis unfolding in healthcare. If COVID-19 continues to spread we will run out of masks, gloves, people to care for the sick, hospital rooms and possibly bottled oxygen.  We must slow this virus down to allow for hospitals to cope. We must social distance and isolate for the next several weeks to stop this. It is not an option.

What is a pandemic?

A Pandemic is the spread of a disease over several countries or continents, making it a very serious issue for the health of everyone.

A disease is generally declared an epidemic when it spreads over a wide area and many individuals become ill at the same time.  When this spread escalates, and further spread is of major concern, affecting an even larger geographical area and large numbers of the population, an epidemic becomes a PANDEMIC.  The World Health Organization (WHO) declared Coronavirus (COVID-19) a world pandemic on March 11, 2020.

Door handles, Faucet handles, Hand rails and elevator buttons are some common items that harbor bacteria and viruses including COVID-19.

It can survive on surfaces for very long times.
